Job Introduction
To provide support to the Commercial team with the administration of the Area 9 M & R Contract, (Highways Maintenance & Response Contract).
Main Responsibility
You will be providing support and guidance to the Commercial team management of QS, AQS and Trainee QS and provision of accurate and timely reports to support routine commercial requirements of the contract for month end reporting. You will need to ensure value and cost associated with the various workstreams are reconciled and recovered via the contract mechanisms within Area 9 Contract and manage subcontract packages effectively from procurement to Final account. You will need to provide support with pricing of new works activities in accordance with contract mechanisms and provide accurate and timely commercial reports and advice to senior management team whilst monitoring contracts and reporting against the appropriate commercial targets.
The Ideal Candidate
The role holder must be able to demonstrate that they have the following personal, interpersonal, professional practice and business skills. You will need to have excellent knowledge of standard forms of construction contracts notably NEC, must be a team leader and player with good time management. You will be a good manager and motivator and have flexibility of approach. You will be conscientious, trustworthy, open and reliable.
