Driver – Job Description
Must be able to travel to Newham!
Alpha Transport PCV Drivers must have a PCV license with A D1 license ***NO 101 CODE***(Manual or Automatic), a DBS will be obtained as you are dealing with children and or adults with learning difficulties, therefore it’s vital for candidates to be patient, have excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of Safeguarding and Data Protection. Written and verbal skills to converse with the office for amendments for routes relayed by the Councils. Map reading and a good local knowledge of the area are desired but not essential. Time management is essential for the continuity and comfort of the passengers with awareness of any special needs or difficulties which pupils may have.
Additional Information and duties.
• Remember that your responsibility that the safety of our clients is always your top priority - you should always be thinking of their safety and comfort at all times.
• Daily walk-around checks and defect book to be filled in daily and you must inform the office of any defects you notice on your vehicle to the office immediately.
• Report any incidents or issues no matter how small that may breach passenger safety or disruption to daily duties or raise Safeguarding issues.
