An opportunity has arisen to recruit confident and reflective Senior Social Workers to the innovative and developing Adult and Community Services Learning Disability and Autism Specialist Support Team. We are recruiting to the following positions:
As a Project Senior Social Worker, you will work to specific targets operating with a reduced caseload to enable the flexibility to meet these targets. You will support people with the most complex needs to lead more fulfilling and less restricted lives.
You will
- work with a small project team to develop process, identify targets and report on achievements
- work in partnership with other agencies and organisations to achieve the best outcomes for the people we support
- challenge others to ensure needs are met effectively.
You will need
- to be experienced in reviewing complex support packages and services
- to be knowledgeable (or able to develop knowledge) in assistive and digital support solutions
- a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration alongside completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.

As an Out of County Senior Social Worker, you will have the opportunity to complete reviews virtually and visit people in their home all around the country whereby you will support people with a range of needs to live more independently. Overnight accommodation can be provided as part of this role where the need arises.
You will play a vital role in bringing highly specialist knowledge, skills and passion to where it is needed with the ability and experience to undertake innovative strengths-based assessments and care planning with individuals, carers, and their personal support networks.
You will
- undertake virtual and in-person meetings locally and nationally with individuals whom remain ordinarily resident of Suffolk
- network with external services to ensure that people are supported to live as independently as possible
- work alongside a supportive team with an ability to undertake casework in other areas as needs arise.
You will need
- a relevant social work qualification and Social Work England registration alongside completion of your Assessed and Supported Year in Employment
- knowledge, understanding and experience of working with relevant legislation in practice including the Mental Capacity Act and associated processes
- strong, evidence-based assessment skills.

The Learning Disability and Autism Specialist Support Team operates in key areas including Transforming Care, Safeguarding, Out of County support, Transitions and in supporting individuals in Suffolk in insecure circumstances.
