Role to commence in August / September 2024.
Main responsibilities:
• Demonstrates leadership and commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW). Actively encourages and leads the Acciona and contractor teams to implement and comply with project HSW requirements.
• Ensures that all relevant HSW requirements are incorporated into area of responsibility and that, in consultation with site management and HSW team, HSW hazards are eliminated or mitigated to the extent practicable, and that work is carried out in accordance with the RAMS
• Is responsible for the safety and HSW performance of all personnel under their control, and for stopping work where this might be compromised
• Ensures works within area of responsibility are executed in accordance with the contract, and conform with project time and budget requirements
• Acts as the principal contact in the co-ordination of all scaffolding equipment on site
• Chairs co-ordination meetings between the various contractors on site to ensure the minimum hindrance to the construction work
• Ensures all scaffolding operations are planned, organised, and undertaken by competent persons
• Ensures that the scaffolding equipment is positioned and installed so, as to minimise any risks e. g. from the load falling or striking people
• Ensures that scaffolding equipment and scaffolding accessories are subject to a periodic thorough examination to confirm they are fit for purpose
• Oversees scaffolds are erected correctly and safely
• Keeps the Site Manager informed of all site-related activities.
Job Requirements:
• NAECI experience (essential)
• Experience with mechanical temporary works (essential)
• CISRS Advanced scaffolding inspection
• Temporary works accredited training course
• Experience in a similar role on large construction projects
• Knowledge of relevant HSEQ legal and management system requirements
• Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) or equivalent
• Valid Safety Contractors Certificate (SCC), Safepass (ROI), CSCS or CCNSG card or equivalent
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft suite applications
• Solution orientated

• Ability to present ideas effectively
• Able to evaluate ideas of others
• Negotiation skills
